DUIMARTHERM®

Thanks to years of experience acquired in the field of constructions, has developed DUIMARTHERM®, a patented ventilated cladding system. This is made of a special rib, DUIMAR®, and an anchorage kit, so to create a naturally ventilated cavity between the insulating coating of the wall and the plaster. DUIMARTHERM® offers itself as adequate solution for different typologies of existing building and allows for the implementation of effective energetic plans in new buildings. This system is innovative in many ways: in energetic and seismic terms as well as in environmental and safety terms. In all these areas, it offers great advantages.

More specifically, realizing this innovative thermic system has seven advantages:

  • More comfort, a better quality of indoor life, prevention of surface condensation, reduction of thermal bridges;
  • Greater savings, with an up to 80% reduction of heating and cooling expenses;
  • Lower noisiness, with a great reduction of acoustic pollution;
  • Greater respect for the environment, thanks to a minimization of environmental impact, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and a better preservation of the environment;
  • Reduction of wall thickness, affecting the indoor living space only for a 5%;
  • More simplicity and a faster installation consisting in a further 30%-40% cost reduction compared with traditional systems currently in use;
  • A lower weight per square meter compared to traditional cladding systems: using DUIMARTHERM® with traditional solutions with common plaster, finishing coat, and color will result in ca. 25 kg per sq. m. (that is 40% less weight compared to common cladding systems); using it with thermal plaster, finishing coat, and color will result in a maximum of 10 kg. per sq. m. (that is 70% less weight than common cladding systems)

As a matter of fact, DUIMARTHERM® is lighter than any other system on the market. It effectively solves the very common issue of loads at any height. To make an example, this entails that the effects of a weight loaded on the 10th floor are the same of that loaded on ground floor, with obvious advantages. Also, DUIMARTHERM® complies with currently safety regulations.

By regulating the flow of hot air in buildings – from the inside to the outside during the winter season, and from outside to the inside in the summertime – DUIMARTHERM® offers the advantage of energy saving up to 80%. This also entails a reduction of costs of heating and cooling, and allows for a better preservation of the environment due to a reduction of greenhouse gas caused the decreased use of thermal devices. In addition, DUIMARTHERM® technology employs natural elements, and this has a positive impact on the environment.

Our ventilated façade consists of an evolution of traditional external isolated cladding systems. It makes the façade thermal protection homogeneous, cutting down thermal bridges, and therefore improving the building performance in terms of energy. This ventilated façade activates a continuous process of natural ventilation along the walls, eliminates humidity in excess, and highly contributes to cooling in summertime and to managing thermal dispersion in the winter season.

Another advantage DUIMARTHERM® offers is its compatibility with any style of architecture, as it can be adjusted to new aesthetic solutions and highly demanding projects, leaving intact the creative freedom of architects and designers. DUIMARTHERM® system is made up of five simple modular elements:

  • L-shaped angle clamp coming in various sizes according to the climatic zone where is must be used (seaside-hills-mountains);
  • Continuous insulation layer of suitable thickness applied to the external walls;
  • Standard thickness L-shaped angle to be fixed to the clamp
  • DUIMAR-METAL-RIB with self-drilling screws and washers especially designed to fit in the metal ribs to be anchored to the L-shaped angle;
  • Plaster (any type), finishing, and color;
  • external coating with elements of concrete, natural stone, or any other type of material used for these types of works;

These modular elements confer highly seismic resistance to the substructure made even as the result of the way in which the plaster is fixed to the DUIMAR-METAL-RIB – 12,700 herringbone carvings per sq. m.; therefore, the interaction between rib and plaster confers an extraordinary, precise, and uniform seismic resistance to the whole of the wall. The constructive features of this system also entail a high degree or lightness, durability, and cost reduction. In addition, it has been demonstrated that DUIMARTHERM® ventilated wall has a load bearing capacity up to 75Kn per sq. m., in so being an ideal solution for the reconstruction of pre-existing buildings’ perimeter walls.
